Job Description:
- Conduct outreach activities to identify eligible households for H-HEAP
- Interview clients to collect necessary information and documentation for program eligibility
- Refer clients to appropriate government or community resources as needed
- Assist clients in completing application forms and verify required documents
- Review intake forms for accuracy and completeness, following up on missing information
- Generate denial letters and reports as required
- Provide general clerical support for H-HEAP operations
- Maintain open communication with staff and clients, ensuring high levels of service
Position Requirements:
- Working knowledge of nonprofit social service agencies and community resources
- Proficiency in conducting outreach, completing intake forms and interviewing techniques
- Ability to establish working relationships with community partners
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in computer applications and data entry
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
