Responsibilities:
The Radiological Technologist is primarily responsible for daily department operations, helps to plan and initiate projects, and leads staff employee teams in quality improvement.
Secondarily, this position performs Radiology examinations on patients under the general supervision of the Chief of Radiology.
Ability to interact with general public, clients, staff and referring physicians with diplomacy, tact and goodwill.
Ability to provide effective first line problem resolution Technical ability to perform all diagnostic radiography examinations as outlined in the MGH Diagnostic Imaging Services department policy and procedure manual.
Ability to instruct technologists how to best perform radiological examinations Able to communicate effectively with patients who are under stress Ability to participate in department team quality improvement activities Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program and a member in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Demonstrates documented competence specific to the MRI position.
